Question help me please

I have a 2012 taotao. Its a 49cc 4 stroke. I'm having a problem the belt broke on the cvt. Bought new belt put it on fine. Now the bike won't start and when it does it just Boggs out. Without the belt it starts fine and runs fine. When I went to change the belt I couldn't get the clutch off with an impact drill. Could the clutch really be the problem?

I would think that the clutch is a logical place to start. If it got shrapnal from the belt lodged into it, it could be jamming up and stalling out the scoot. It can be a pain, but I think you have to get into it. Also, when you changed the belt, did you pull the variator and make sure that the rollers are still in place? Though I don't think a roller would cause the problem you describe..
