New item in my tool kit

Since I seem to have a knack for finding stray nails lying in the road...and have had 3 rear tire nail punctures in last 2 years, I thought I'd better become more prepared. So far I've been lucky enough to discover these problems at home, with the tire just 8 or 10 pounds under inflated....but it's only a matter of time before my luck runs out, and I find myself twenty or more miles from home, with a nail puncture, and only 20 lbs of air left in the tire.

So I bought a couple of these.....Made by Pit Posse

The kit I bought didn't come with the tire plugs, or the tool to install them, but the closest BIG BOX store sells the Slime branded one in the photo, for $2.84.

So now, both of my bikes, and the scooter have their own tire repair kits, and I have a little more peace of mind.

This is probably a little off the subject but that "Slime" brand name seems to be taking over all other brand names! I guess everything changes over time. I went to get a new tire inflator & the kind that I was after was taken over by a "Slime" one. Irish

But in "ride-on "tire sealant/tire balancer in your tires as a preventive along with having a tire plug kit.

Good idea. I have a string patch kit but need to get an inflation kit.
