Update - Scooter is up and running fine. Here's what happened

I was getting the legendary vapor lock. Bike kept shutting down no matter what I did. I removed the gas cap and rode back and forth to work with no problem. Drilled a tiny hole as recommended in cap, and vuala. Problem gone. Also readjusted valves, so I'm no longer getting the loud annoying clanking. I'm finally a happy camper. This was one hell of an experience. However, through trial and error, I've learned a lot about GY6 engines and Chinese scooters.

Oh, I also installed racing CDI, coil, high end spark plug. I'm buying an all black seat as well. The red and gray seat isn't cutting it for me.
