It dies.
Morning Boys,
I have a problem with my GY6 150 running. I set the valves, got a new carb, new manifold gaskets and adjusted the carb. But if I give it any throttle it dies as you can see. What am I missing???? Click HERE to watch.

After watching your video, I'd have to say your problem is electrical, not fuel related. The reason I say this is that it shuts down as if you hit the kill switch. (In reallity that is probably what you are doing) Think I might start with the right grip.....check kill switch, it's wiring, and clearance with moving throttle pieces housed in the grip.

Afternoon rks.
It would be nice if it was that simple. I can give it throttle slowly and it won't die. It's only when I do it fast. I can ride it down the road ok, I just can't rev it up or take off fast. I used a water hose and checked for air leaks, I flooded it! It only stops when the water hits the spark plug. No vac leaks,,,, that I found.

These are just a few ideas,
Could it be possible that when you accelerate too quickly you flood the carburetor? Maybe you need to upjet? How's your air filter look? Maybe you aren't getting enough air to support the rush of gas from a quick accelaration? (If moped even work this way, I'm still learning these machines myself.) Maybe you could have a problem in your clutch springs? Again these are just ideas I'm no expert.

It runs good going down the road, good pickup. It might be a jet needs changing.
Ahh heck, it runs good, I think I will just leave it alone and ride it.

It's hard to diagnose something without working on it yourself but it sounds very much as if you're running to lean! Irish

So it runs good unless you yank the throttle wide open?
A man goes into see his doctor and tells him; every time I swing my arm over my head it hurts. The doctor says, "Don't do it then"

Hi, I'm not too knowledgeable on jetting, but did you adjust both the pilot and main jet? If it its dying at wot you might need more carb tuning?

Yes the pilot the is more for idle. I know he stated he adjusted the carb. I was just wondering what he adjusted.

It'd have to be the pilot, it's the only adjustable thing on a regular gy6 carb

Could be that the main jet is too large in the carb. I had that issue.
