Stalling Problem?

The bike is a Verucci 150. It has been running OK, but is now seriously stalling under throttle. It starts easily and and engine runs smoothly, but the max speed is only 26mph. When I twist the throttle it just boggs down.
I checked the spark plug (@50 miles old). It's clean, but dark (running rich). The carb seems to be getting plenty of gas. I checked wiring for tighness and arcing.
I don't see anything wrong.
What am I missing?

TIA,

Randy

could be vapor locking the tank, i had a similar problem and fixed it by poking a small vent hole in my gas cap with a pick

Is the auto enricher working as it should.....shutting off after initial warm up, allowing engine to idle down to 1700 or so?
Has someone else been in the carb....screwing around with the main jet? Do you know what size jet you are running?
How about the intake air......filter in place, and clean?

Thanks guys, I figured it out. It was the carburetor. A tiny piece of something was lodged in the main jet. When I looked at the jet in the light the hole was not round. I ran a #55 drill bit through it, put it all back together and problem solved ☺️
