tips on adjusting Minarelli JOG 2 stroke carb

new to this forum and new to scooters, but have done LOTS of automotive repair/rebuild, etc. To try to learn, I bought a "project bike", early 2000's Rad2Go Milan 50 (TNG Venice clone). Did complete carb rebuild and engine runs pretty good, but trying to learn the steps to adjusting the idle jet and the idle speed to get the right air/fuel mix for smooth acceleration. The Haynes manual I bought is pretty lame in this department, so hoping someone on this forum has straightforward process for tuning this carb.
