Icebear Maddog Trike 50cc w/ 80cc Big Bore.
I've now had my trike for almost 2 years now. It has 107 mls. One day it was driving great (which has been almost a year ago now), and one day it started sputtering and I haven't been able to ride it since. There isn't anyone from my area that will work on a GY6 so I had to have it transported 2 hrs away and he had it started in a few wks and said he drove it a couple of times. Sent another company to get it delivered back, and it wouldn't start. It wouldn't even start to load it at his shop and he sent it back and charged me $500 for the repairs, which were minimal.
To this day almost every part on the engine is new. I've went through 3 batteries, 2 air pumps (the new one just went out again), a brand new carb and manifold. I've cleaned the carb at least 6 times including the jets. It still won't turn over. Any other recommendations would be great. And I've used the stock CDI as well as the one that came w/ the bore. It has spark. The fuel is getting to the carb (when the pump was working). I can even sprayed carb cleaner directly into the carb and it would start, but as soon as it burned off it would stall again. I appreciate your help if you have it. Thanks Im very new to this. |

If spraying carb cleaner into gets it to run then the logical place is fuel delivery. Have you checked to see if the vacuum petcock is working? It's at the botom of the fuel tank with a vacuum line to it. If you suck on the vacuum hose and gas doesn't come out it's either clogged or broken.
