Issue resolved

In case anyone else run into the same issue, here's how I fixed it -

My scooter was running lean due to dirty vacuum fuel pump. Which was worsening the clutch slippage issue during the initial pickup. Cleaned the pump and changed the fuel filter leading to the pump. That partially solved the issue.

Fully solved the issue by sanding the clutch bell. The bell of the new clutch I installed had micro dust and rust on it.
