TaoTao 50cc Scooter Vibration at High Revs

Hi Everyone,

As the title suggests, I am having an issue on my new TaoTao 50cc scooter that is causing an additional fairly loud vibration/noise to occur whenever I go above 30-40% throttle. If the scooter is idling or if it is cruising at 30mph at low throttle there is no vibration. I have seen a couple of other threads on this forum mention the possibility of a loose brake caliper, loose exhaust, or loose engine mount, but none of these seem true with my scoot. Additionally, I've pulled the CVT housing off and there does not seem to be any signs of belt slap on the cover, (the scooter now has 500km and has made this noise since the start). I've really looked high and low, but all I've been able to figure is that the noise is coming from the rear wheel area on the bike. I'm really stumped here and was wondering if you all had any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue.

Thanks,
Steve
