No vacuum to fuel pump

Helix clone. I'm not getting any vacuum to the fuel pump. Hoses are good. Any ideas?

You could make a smoke machine. This is what they use to find vacuum leaks on cars.

Well, that's pretty cool, but I'm not there yet. It's not a "leak", it's a complete loss of vacuum. The hoses are like new. I took the carb off, and it doesn't feel lke there's much vacuum in there at all. I checked the diaphragms and I can't find any rips or holes. I hope I'm just missing something, not really in the mood to tear the engine down.
