Choke stuck open

Hey guys!! After my Qinqui 50 was stolen I found a used Piaggio Typhoon 50 for $1250, excellent cond., 650 miles, super ride with 14" wheels. Yet it had a broken speedometer cable. So I replaced it and now the automatic choke is stuck wide open. Even after warming up or accelerating it in stop won't knock it back down.

Could the replaced speedo cable be rubbing the accelerator cable right at the connection to the instrument panel?? Doesn't seem likely. Its probably unrelated. Guess check out the carb and lube the accelerator cable where it connects to the carb???

Good for you. It's amazing how many problems can be overcome with a little poking around, or just by taking a good second look at things.
