Is It Worth The Price? Please Read

Are Honda Metropolitan scooters worth the difference in price compared to these Chinese cheaper scooters?

I can get A 2018 with "0" miles on it from a Honda Dealer for 3000- out the door with a luggage trunk I would need. BUT 3000 <(stars) I

I have a hard time with that. IS the difference in quality really worth the 2000 difference in price?

The name "Honda" seems to equate to quality, is it really worth it??

your thoughts

If you do not like tinkering and troubleshooting, spend the extra money for the Honda.
-If you don't mind some tinkering, save your money and get a China scoot.

I have a friend with, I kid you not, a MINIMUM of 40,000 miles on his Metropolitan. Had one fuel pump fail. Other items, like running the reduction box out of oil and a broken center stand, were his fault. He has never checked the valves, uses the cheapest oil he can find, never changed the anti-freeze and rides it year round in all weather. Its his only transportation. EXCELLENT build quality, hence the price. Now, I know someone with a Peace Sports China scooter and his has been very reliable. He does all the service work on time and runs quality oil in it. He had a carb mess up (choke quit) and fixed it himself. Said it was easy with help from You Tube. He's right around 5,000 miles and has been happy with it. That's my observation.
