Spend Money?

One of the HD salesmen called me yesterday & said that he heard that I was looking at the new Trikes. He wanted to make me a deal. I would love to have one but I'm not crazy enough to spend $27.??? for one! Irish
P.S. They have the new bigger engine & I'm addicted to power but mine runs fine & it's paid for! I guess that I'll have to settle for my "little" 1200.

That's a lot of money, Irish, but not that much more than you would pay for a Can-Am Spyder or Polaris Slingshot. A Morgan trike replica will cost almost twice that.
-A fellow tried to sell me his airport a few weeks back. Basically a 2200' grass strip and a nice hangar. I declined before even asking the price. I haven't strapped in and taken the controls in 27 years, and my eyesight is about 20/50. I would be more dangerous to air traffic than Harrison Ford.
If I had enough money, I might have bought that airport anyway.

Pardon my lack of knowledge but will 20/50 still qualify you for a pilots license? This question is NOT for Harrison. By the way , I would love to have one of the new Freewheelers but as they say-even if you own your favorite vehicle , you still have a favorite vehicle! There's also such a thing as living within your fixed income means! THIS IS RETIREMENT? Makes you wish that you didn't waste so much $ on such frivolous things (booze , cigarettes , etc.) (quit both) Irish
P.S. If you see me on a Can Am Spyder , You have my permission to shoot me!

And if you see me trying to taxi an airplane onto a runway, you have my permission to shoot me to for the protection of the public.

Our local Can-Am dealership is trying to gently push the new Spyder on us. Silly dumb money, and like you, ours is paid for. We like riding but not that much. And about Harrison Ford. He flew the Millennium Falcon thru an asteroid belt, and he crash lands 2 vintage planes?! Guess the Falcon has more auto-pilot features...

Ford was a bit younger when he was buzzing the tower at the Death Star.
Too bad we can't stay that way.
