1 prong coil to 2 prongs possible?

I have a new CDI / Coil DC combo kit, I did test the CDI and works ok, then I tried to change the coil and my coil have 1 prong, the new one have 2, can I use it or not? ...... Thank you

I'm guessing here, the one prong one must ground through the case to the frame so you'd need to run a wire from the neg prong to ground on the two prong one and the positive to the CDI. Look at a wiring diagram to see how the ignition shut off works. It should be with the CDI so it should work..... should is the operative word here. When you test for spark take the plug out so the motor will spin faster, when you're satisfied you have a good spark then put the plug back to see if it will run.

Yes, was easy, did run a ground cable from the battery post to 2nd prong and did work.... Thank you
