Impact wrench

For what i know, clutch, (both the outer and inside 41mm nut), variator and back tire is all that needs an impact wrench to remove and tighten.

So air powered, ebay, what would be able to do those ?

A lot of other scoot owners have had good results with one like this..http://www.harborfreight.com/12-volt...nch-92349.html

If the description is accurate, it is powerful enough to strip any fastener on your scooter, so I would go easy when using one.

I use an air powered impact, mainly because I have the system left over from my working years, and the fact that I still have 11 vehicles to maintain....from the scooter to a diesel powered utility tractor. If I had only a scooter and a car....I'd probably have something like the one I linked.

That's a great choice. Spend the 7 extra bucks to get the warranty on it. Then even if you ruin it, they'll replace it. Just r we remember to pay the warranty on the replacement.

I use a 12" c-wrench and the ground to get that large clutch nut. It's a hell of a lot easier and cheaper than buying a 3/4" drive impact and a 42mm socket.

Anybody use one of those impact wrenches that you hit with a hammer to work on the CVT? I use one on the engine case screws but have not tried it on the CVT parts.

You can get something like this, http://www.harborfreight.com/3-pc-im...set-61991.html, rather than a 3/4" drive impact. Of course, you still have to have the large socket.

Got a tradespro 24volt 1/2 inch wrench. Works fine. Got the 3/4 and 3/8 adaptors and a 41 mm socket. No issues aside from battery not having an auto shutoff. 40$ for the wrench off ebae
