Exclamation New member, new scooter, new headaches...

So I bought a used scooter off of a guy who let it sit for 6 years. It's a 150cc JMStar "Tank" with a 157QMJ. I have fixed and replaced a lot.
- new plug
- new coil
- new CDI
- new battery
- new fuel filter
- new gear oil
- new oil
- drained tank and filled with 93 (old gas was brown)
- checked belt (all good)
Got the scooter running and ran great, now it seems sluggish up hills and is basically topping at 40ish mph. Any ideas as to what could be going wrong? I even put the ild CDI in and runs the same. Any help would be great!

Don't know how far you have run it.....but it sounds like maybe some left over gunk from inside your tank may have found it's way into the fuel line or filter. I certainly would remove the carb, and give it a good cleaning too......and of course, check the valve gaps.
