Look at the sight glass. It should be full of brake fluid. If too low you wont see the fluid. Also make sure the fluid still looks good. It get's darker and usually causes mushy feel to brakes if water has been assorbed. On both of my Chinse bikes, very early, I removed the old fluid and replaced with new USA just so I would know the quality. Good brakes are vital to good health. I have not changed out the fluid on my Yamaha Majesty yet but thet bike only has 2500 miles and still too new.
