150cc upgrade no machining

HI all,

This may sound dumb coming from me but I really have not been keeping up with the 150cc upgrades. So I am looking to add a big bore kit upgrade for my customers that does not need machining and was wondering if anybody could tell me what the largest size bore I can order is that does not require machining. I want something that my folks can just install and go without any extra work.

thanks for the help,

John

Most I know of is changing the jug to make it an actual 158cc. Then over stroke cranks.

Only if you port the pass thoughs, in and out, and if it is an open exhaust.

58.8mm is the largest size bore that can be installed on the GY6 engine without boring the case or a 58.5 but what is the point without a Stroker Crank. Just slapping in a 58.? is only going to give you about 5-6 more ccs around 156cc over 149.6 OEM. That will not even be noticeable to tell you the truth.

Yeah on a 150 its better to go with a stroker crank, you get more cc's without machining. with a +4 crank you will be at 160cc or with a +8 you could hit 170cc.
