Scooter HID Xenon Conversion Kit?

Hey Dawgs,

Been looking at lights, kinda thinking HID so that I can see and be seen. the lancer uses an H4 Bulb (I think).

Any body have any experience with the Kit sold on http://www.scrappydogscooters.com/COMMON_PARTS.html ?

I'm confused because it says it has high and low beam in one socket. My Lancer currently has a high beam bulb in one socket and the low beam in another.

Thoughts? Comments? Ideas?

Thanks

Use a kit with slim ballasts and a "high" halogen, if your type supports it. That gives you an emergency light if the HID blows out some night.

Has anyone tried out LED bulbs? Are they worth the cost?

Also, is there a real difference in power draw? My Roketa 150 came worth, I believe, 35w headlight bulbs.

If I were to switch to LED, does this mean I can get the same number of lumens from, say, a 20w LED bulb? Or could I get even more brightness by going up to a 40w bulb (assuming the scooter puts out enough power).

Any info would be much appreciated.
