WOW, NY doesn't differentiate between scooters and motorcycles, its all CC's. Under 50 CC you dont need a M endorsement on your license.

If you read the NYS DMV manual it's not even about cc's. It's about speed. You don't need an "M" designation for anything under 30 mph top speed. Technically if you buy some zoomy Italian 50cc two stroke that does 45 mph, or more, you're supposed to have a Bike license.

I have a bike license since 1973. Now they have a range on Long Island for the test. When I took it you met an inspector on a back road, made circles and figure 8's in the road and rode around while he watched from a following car.

No MSF then.
