Veho MUVI Atom Camera
by jeepsteve92xj jeepsteve92xj is offline 03-10-2013, 11:54 AM

For people interested in action cameras, and GoPro is out of your price range
The Veho camera, which I used for my youtube videos, is on sale again for a limited time.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw...amera&_sacat=0

A crazy number of mounts and bits including a waterproof housing.

In fact I have a few videos on youtube taken with a Veho
https://www.youtube.com/user/steved4...ew=0&flow=grid
I do need to find a good cheap video editor. I don't remember what I used for these, but it has an automatic youtube setting plus uploader.
The video without the waterproof enclosure has better sound, duh.
I think all 6 of those videos are with naked camera and no enclosure.
I tried some with the camera on my pocket or lapel but they tend to be aimed high. My video 'test-2' shows that issue in the van.

I will try to add more review as the weather warms up.

I should mention that I have ordered several items from dailysteals.com for a couple years. Occasionally shipping seems to take forever, but eventually the items arrive. No panic.

it comes with a 4GB.
An Emerson action camera comes with none
A Polaroid came with 2GB
Polaroid and Emerson are twins. Also coming with tons of bits,
And a larger physical format than this Veho.

Looks like the prices on Amazon have dropped a bit, except for the Veho
http://www.amazon.com/Veho-VCC-004-A...dp/B004VXJ1YS/
Polaroid
http://www.amazon.com/Polaroid-XS7-W...dp/B009ETEEAU/
Emerson
http://www.amazon.com/Emerson-Action...dp/B00AGMWWMG/

I have also both the Emerson and Polaroid but not yet tested. I should lay them out side by side for size comparison.

Hi Alan
For the low price the video quality seems quite adequate

Take care and ride safely dear friend

Wow, can't beat that for $40! I might have to pick one of those up. Quality looks just as good if not better than my GoPro 1 (non-HD).
