Yamaha Beluga CDI Wirings
Hello guys.. i have a problem with my yamaha beluga/riva 50... my CDI has only 4 pins and i'm searching for Racing CDI that is 4pins too.. but i can't find one... and i only found 5pins racing CDI... so how can i convert the 5pins racing cdi with my stock 4pins cdi? Is it possible to work? Thanks a lot!

Determine if it's an AC or DC ... find pinouts for both CDIs, look up the specs on them and if they are close enough you do some wire changing, wire it up and see if it works.

Roscoe, if I remember the Beluga is a 6 volt system. Not only that, but the wiring had a weird "Beluga only" grounding system. So, if I was Puta I would leave the CDI alone. Besides, I dont recall it being restricted anyways so why change it?

it would help if we knew what year it was made. We could look up a wiring schematic and maybe be of more help?
