Justin On The Air

Justin of Bintelli got an interview on Public Broadcasting. It's short and we know most of what he says but it's cool he got there.

Thanks for sharing! It was my first radio interview. Hopefully more to come soon! Also just had two really nice articles posted online:

What kind of Adly scooter later this year? Without giving away too much will it be bigger than a 50cc and smaller than a Gold Wing?

We did a soft launch last month with Adly dealers getting a limited quantity to test their local markets:

A two stroke 50cc is cool but how about a RT 150 with a Thunderbike 4 valve head? That would keep Honda Groms honest. I bought a used Kymco Like 50 recently and it goes darn quick for a 50cc in a heavy scooter. I would imagine this RT 50 runs pretty briskly.

We plan to eventually bring in some 150s from Adly but it won't be a for a bit. 49cc is where all the market is at right now on the Taiwan scooters. The 49cc 2T on the RT50 is pretty darn quick! It's a bit smaller than a Grom when looking at the physical size.

According to Cookees the 50cc sized scooters represent about 65% of the scooter market right now. It probably explains why so many online sellers have ceased selling the 250cc + sized scooters on their sites.

Hey kz, that number is just about the same percentage of the folks coming here seeking how to get more power from their 50's. It seems to me anyway.

On my 150 cc, in a rural setting, many times, heading uphills, the cars would start building up behind me. Solved with the 250 cc power plant.

I'm not knocking the 50's, hell I enjoy riding with them at CON, looking at their beautiful builds and all.

In an urban setting a 50cc scooter would be the ultimate weapon. I lived in Brooklyn for six years and we used our bicycles every day. A small scooter would be faster, have more carrying space and be easy to park as opposed to a car or a bicycle. You also don't need a Motorcycle License in most states. Here in the Country you need more speed but I see so many scooter dealers in places with Urban settings nearby it's easy to see why so many 50cc scooters are being sold.

"You go where the money is."-Jack Ryan c. 2014

It's easy to see why Justin has such an extensive line of 50cc scooters for his dealers and only a pair of 150s. Look at how few large scooters are available in this country as opposed to smaller sizes. Small is a scooter, big means a motorcycle.

Even at Modern Vespa, the Honda NC 700 with Dual Clutch transmissions are creeping into their garages. I saw one rabid Vespa owner say that a NC 700 is a better commuter, hands down.

For our average dealer, 49cc is actually closer to 80-85% of what they sell.
