Nibbi Racing Air Filter Extension Pipe Mounting Problem

So I bought a nibbi racing air filter

My frame didn't have enough clearance to attach it directly to the carb so I bought an extension pipe -

Now the problem is I have no clue how I'm supposed to mount this extension pipe with the hardware provided, it just kind of sits there. See my pics -

As you can see from this second pic I just went ahead and mounted the one piece to my wheel cover :P
