So true! I see so many riding scooters without helmets and I shake my head. They think because it doesn't have the size and power of a motorcycle that they'll be safer. I won't get on anything with a motor without a helmet.
Glad everything was okay for the OP. When I was travelling in Asia I was shocked to see how many Vietnamese riders would have a helmet on but leave it unfastened. It's totally crazy behavior.
