Oldgunner here,new to scooting

I decided last fall to enter into the 2 wheel world beyond my Schwinn bicycle just after my 80th birthday. I have been familiar with operating everything from cars, 18 wheelers, construction equipment and tanks, during my military time..but 2 wheeling is new to me. I bought a 2009 Kymco people 150 and am enjoying it a great deal, while running on a learner's permit for now.
By my name you can see a combo of a life-long hunter, and my usual position in my tank crew.

I live in Cattaraugus county, NY

Howdy Oldgunner!

I'm sure you'll love yur Kymco.
There are loads of very passionate owners of that brand.

At the risk of ruffling feathers, Id recommend checking out the Kymco forum.
I spent a lot of good years there, and I know you'll find open arms, and hearts.

Keep on posting here too!!!!! We all love a good read, and happy scooter owners.

Welcome to the forum. A friend of mine was in an M60 tank crew for a few years. His hearing is not too good.

Welcome aboard Oldgunner......we are almost neighbors.... I hail from southern Livingston County.

I usually get over to Arcade a few times each summer, on one of my larger bikes. Always stop at Mc Donald's for an ice cream cone, and a coffee, when out that way.

Wheelbender; Yes, hearing loss is a given. I completely miss out on the very high pitched sounds and have loss as well as tinitis. Talked to a VA official, who told me that hearing loss is a regular with artillery and tankers. Of course, Uncle Sam didn't tell us that way back when..LOL

rks...If you get over Arcade way this coming scooter season, try to toss me a PM and perhaps we can do McDonald's or BK...Of course they now have a Tim Horton's near McDonald's..right in front of Tops market. That makes 2 Timmies within about 1.5 miles of each other.
