ELite 250 - secret key light!

Maybe everyone already knows about this, but I just discovered that the 1st gen Elite 250 has a well-hidden bulb tucked under the handlebars that only comes on when the key is OFF and you press the horn button! How handy is that for finding the key hole in the dark? Not only that, but the bulb has a green lens... green light is supposed to be less disturbing to your night vision than other colors. 80's tech man, gotta love it!

They do think of the stuff!!
I found some plastic rejuvenator (if thats possible) at the local car parts shop, called 303 or something like that. Was pricey, but it really makes old plastics shine like new man.

Yeah, I think I'm actually gonna plasti-dip it. I kinda like the idea of having a semi-permanent paint that I can swap out if I want to. Thinking I may do all the black "interior" panels in red, and leave the exterior panels gloss black. Looks pretty cool in Photoshop, anyway. Already dipped the wheels in black... much improved over the mildly-rusted 80's gold.
