Mc54-250b

I'm thinking about getting back into the business of scootin' again and the 250 might be it. I tried looking in some of the older threads but didn't see any . Wasn't there an upgrade for the headlights for this model?

Hi.....I installed HID's...5000k....H4...9003...Hi/Lo with relay for a car and the lights have worked great. I go to work at 2:30 AM and the HID's do the job.

I forgot to mention the HID's are 35 W not 55 W. The 35's work great. Enjoy the Ride....Purchased off Ebay. There are tutorials on some of the other forums, that show how to install the HID's. They are Bi-Xenon HID's.

I put in all LEDs (and I do mean everything) a souped up battery, and a R/R unit from Oregon Motorcycle Parts. Because it had H4 sockets to begin with, I popped in dual 55/60 watt PIAA bulbs. (I now have people telling me I can be seen from a mile away....which is just what I want!)

Yeppers Hank, I even got one of those lights that mount on the back of your helmet that gives turn signals or glows red when you hit the brakes.

I installed a volt meter to see how the system is doing, and it reads 13.1 volts running down the hiway. Which is pretty good for a Linhai powered scooter. I need LED'S in the front turn signals and running lights.

I remember reading (for LEDs) that it's some astronomical number, like 100,000 hours. (or roughly 10 years of use.)

Go to Ebay and search HID's Bi-Xenon and get the specs you need....No more that they cost it is kinda not an issue. I purchased 2 extra ballast for spares, but I did not purchase any bulbs. I purchased my HID's off Ebay. So much better than the stock bulbs. The 5000k bulbs are a blue/white color, just like the new cars. I went to Ebay and looked up the bulb life, 3000 hrs or there abouts.
