Take the air filter off and look into the throat of the carb as you you try to rev it up. If you see fuel puddling then your float may be sticking and you will have to pull the carb and clean it.

Another thing that can cause this is a paritally clogged idle jet. This is the small jet offset from the main jet under the bowl of the carb. Again will require cleaning.

One more thing is that it could be that you need to adjust your valves. We set ours to .004 inch both intake and exhaust.
