Tach Wiring Help
I need some help getting this tach to work on my MOTOFiNO....
It came off a gy6 150 so I know itll work... I just dont know for sure what the wires goto. I know green is ground, black probably power and the white looking wire tach signal. But not 100% sure. Any help would be awesome... Thanks

Hi
Black is in most times the color of a ground wire So i would think Black Ground white power and green signal or vice versa, i definitely think the black is a ground though Take care and ride safely dear friend Yours Hank

I don't know about my ground color for my tach, but my 150 has a green ground for the ignition coil

on my motorcycle it's different. (for tiny tach: black= ground, red=+12V, Blue=dash light+12V, and green is signal)
Sometimes, if the tach has a back light it's easy to find the wire. Usually the signal cable can get signal with 12V. so if you rapidly touch with the signal wire the +12V line, you may see the RPM's going up on the meter, and know it's the signal wire. then there's the internet, and loads of good people that are generous enough to aid the common man with their illustrations and posts :-) |

That tach sounds like many that I have wired into cars before as well. But these chinese have to be complicated with their green grounds lol
Now to tune my cvt
