Service expectation?

Hello All, I own a 2009 Piaggio 250 and I need to have my rear brakes repaired. What should I expect from service shop? How do I know they aren’t ripping me off. Say it’s just the pads or say the whole thing needs replacing, what cost am I looking at

Any time I see a Piaggio question I recommend going to www.modernvespa.com
They have dealers and people who know on board.
