Doh! tuneing a carb without a tach?

My scooter does not have a tach. Looking to get max performanceout of my scoot without burning it up. I did not tune my carb I had a friend do it my plug looks a little orangeish brown? 88 MJ HP exhaust Free flow filter

amber brown is a good color for a plug, and 88 main jet is good for a 47mm (80cc) big bore kit with an exhaust and air filter

I run a 88MJ in a 63cc tao. Yeah its an amber color on the porcelain? The plug I use is a brisk racing split fire plug.

There are some nice and cheap add on tach's. I added a Tiny Tach, about $50.00, but there is a lower cost one that works well, from feed back from guys that added them.

Yeah I was looking at the trail tach. Correct me if I'm wrong but all I gotta do is mount it and wrap that wire around my coil a few times right?

I wonder why the atm-50a1 doesn't have one? My other VIPblah blah? 139qmb has one? Im thinking about putting some new bars on not to sure how I'm gunna go about it yet. Maybe a small ATV rokketa clamp. I'm sure I'll have to do some cutting and welding.
