oil change

Just watching some you tube clips. I saw it said you should change the oil every 500 miles! Is that so?

100 miles for the first oil change

500 for the second

every 800-1000 miles there after.

Always change your oil after letting bike sit for an extended period (IE over the winter or while in storage for over a month)

Use 10w40 or 15w40 oil (does NOT have to be synthetic) Oil capacity is 750ml (3/4 of a quart) do not over fill or excess oil will blow from the crankcase vent hose (usually ending up in the air filter box). Check oil level with bike shut OFF, on centerstand (not sidestand or kickstand) with oil fill dipstick RESTING on the threads, NOT SCREWED IN. Oil level should be in middle of hatched marks.
