Gear oil leak

Have a roketa 250 54b. Changed gear oil for the first time. First two days I noticed it was leaking. Went out to try putting tape on drain bolt but today it's not leaking. Is it normal to have an overflow leak or did I run out of gear oil? Didn't seem to be leaking enough to run out.

Make sure you did not put too much oil in. Won't make the drain bolt leak, but could force out in other places and just run down there.

Usually that's a symptom of too much gear oil. Generally you keep the bike vertical and put just enough oil to leak out of the fill hole and let all the excess drip out of the fill hole and that's the proper amount. Tilting the bike to the right trying to get more oil is asking to over fill it.

Not sure about that model, but on my Yamaha Majesty and also the Linhai Mainstreet 300, which is similer, you have to add a measured amount. You don't fill it till it runs out the fill hole, or it will be greatly over full.
