Doh! Exhaust/Muffler Options

Well, I got my '07 Roketa MC-30-150 up and running. I've not GPS measured it but on a flat road it seems like it can haul my fat rear-end (270lbs.) up to about 50-55mph @6,500RPM. =)

I had an issue with the exhaust pipe not staying on the bottom of the block and, long story short, while I think I've fixed that, the bracket welded on the muffler that holds it in place right in front of the rear wheel broke off.

It looks like a new muffler may cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 - WAY too much. I've been trying to MacGyver something but my metal-working skills (and access to tools) haven't been very successful.

Anybody have any ideas? Are the other after-market (read: less expensive) alternatives that will pretty readily fit? Is there a "Macgyver" method that folks have used in the past?
