changing front rim for larger size

I have a vitacci elite 150. With 13 inch rims. Was wondering if it was possible to put a 15 inch rim from another chinese scoot on it? Anybody here know if its been done before with relative ease?

Compress your front suspension and see how much clearance you have between the tire and body panels. I would think you need 3 inches of clearance from any body panels, including when the wheel is turned. You would not be able to use your 13" fender with the 15" tire.

yea, i looked, i think i should have clearance since its only an inch difference, i was mainly wondering if the width of the center of the rim is kinda universal among the Chinese scoots. A larger rim would help with the pot holes and will help my speedo read more accurately as well

There are some scooter dealers in Houston that sell small wheel and big wheel scooters. You could stop by one of those dealers an measure the width of the forks on the two types of scoots.

If the rim has a disc installed for the disc brake, it could be that it uses another clearance (eg: disc too close, or too far away from the fork)
