Do you use your tach when you are scooting around? Ive noticed some scoots dont have one just was wondering everyones opinion if its really a necessary gauge you use when you ride

Hi
A tach is an vitally important gauge for a scoot
I do use mine alot while riding and try to keep my rpms way under there maximum when riding also imho they are vital when your modding parts for better perfomance to make sure you stay with in your powerband
On scoots that didnt come with a tach i install one of these

Take care and ride safely

My current scooter has a tachometer which I don't use much for riding.

But it was a big help when tuning the variator.

My Yamaha didn't come with a tach so I installed one of the $13 ebay analog ones. It works perfectly and I do keep an eye on it, especially going downhill. Also I just like to see what my engine is up to while riding.

A tach is good if you're going to de-restrict and don't want to blow anything up. My Kymco is restricted so a tach is not necessary. Might be good set the idle, but that can be done without it.

Where did you buy(get) it? My bike doesn't have a tach & I can't find anything that I like for a decent price. Yours looks like just what I've been looking for. Irish

Does ANYONE know where I can get information on the tach? I'm 71 now & I would like to finish my bike before I die or am to old to turn wrenches! Irish
P.S. I repeated myself! If I'm too old to turn wrenches , that's the same thing as death!

P.S. Aren't Tiny Tachs for single cylinder engines? I'm not being a wise ass. I really don't know?
