05 Motofino 49cc to 150cc

I am in the process of completing a 150cc swap... all I have left to do is make a seat and a tail light, and find a few more plastics.

I will slowly be updating this thread as my internet connection sucks... lol

Here she is when me and my friend Scootin150 Picked her up

Thanks Hank! Welcome to my Thread

Scootnwinn I could not tell you what happen to the scooter before I got it. What I CAN tell you is that the original 50cc engine that was on it DID catch on fire a couple times when we tried to get it running. That is when I decided I was tired of messing with such a small underpowered pathetic engine!

Here I am grinding the frame down after I welded the mounts for the 150cc in. I also had to rewire my harness because I kinda ruined it by letting it short out. But its all good now

Kinda Jumping around on this build thread...

I had the 150 running for while and it ran pretty good, til the exhaust fell off one day. So I had to take the head off to retap the holes for the exhaust studs, and when I did that I found out the headgasket had been leaking.

So long story short, now I have a ported and milled head (.070" shaved) , Running no base gasket and also running a hand made manual chain tensioner. I had to basically make my own head pipe because I hhad ported the stock one and it broke on me. So now I am in the process of replacing the broken part with larger tubing

I had to repaint the scoot because the plastics were broken into two pieces... when this particular year Motofino had a one piece front end. So I had to bond the nose back together to make it solid and do body work on it. Here are some Pics. I still need one more panel for the passanger side.

I forgot to mention...This scoot weighs 120lbs Minus Fuel. So I am hoping to get good gas mileage out of it especially with the torque I have with the high compression
