Smoke out of exhaust flange

I am sorry if this has already been answered somewhere, but I am a little new to the scooter world.
I recently performed a valve adjustment due to stalling out when braking and inconsistent idling. After the adjustment it looks like steam or smoke coming from the exhaust flange ( where the exhaust meets the engine )
It isn't a lot of smoke, but it's enough to notice. It starts after less than a minute of the bike being on. But it did start up first try, unlike before the adjustment. Did I do something wrong?

I have a Roketa MC-54-250B Scooter.

Thank you for any help I can get.
