Isle of Mann TT
If anyone is interested , the Velocity channel will broadcast the Isle of Mann TT on Saturday morning. I don't know what time but they race on the regular roads. If you want to see some people with some guts , tune in! Irish

Dang. I'm working Saturday morning. Should be on the TV all week. The Isle of
Man racers are true daredevils. If they run off the course, they must deal with ditches, trees, utility poles, etc just like we do (but at racing speed).

OK. I thought the IOM usually ran in June. I hope they do a broadcast every night during the TT.

Watched it at 11:00PM last night. Those guys are crazy but it does make me wish for a two-wheeler instead of a Trike. Oh well-at least I'm riding! I just wish that I was 30/40 yrs younger instead of 72 , but I'd probably do the same things again. Irish

One of the previous winners & favorites is not doing as good as usual because he is stiff & sore from a recent spill at over 125mph but he's still racing! Irish

Yes. Unfortunately, there are racer fatalities at the Isle of Man TT every year. At least two this year and we are only half way through the event.
Not so difficult to understand why guys in their 20s are willing to risk it all at the IOM TT. Much more difficult to understand why guys in their 40s and 50s are still willing to put on the leathers and compete in such a dangerous event.

I was really to determined to stay up and watch the TT coverage last night on Velocity, but I fell asleep again. I am just working a lot of hours these days. I hope they rebroadcast them when I can watch them.

P.S. Be careful, those long hours take a lot out of you! I used to work the night shift & I fell asleep driving home a few times! Last edited by Irish; 06-12-2016 at 05:28 PM. Reason: Add a letter. |

WK Bikes had two CF Moto NK 650s in the races. They finished 4th and 15th.
