Grin I blame cookees .........

When I responded to this thread the Cali Classic wasn't on my radar. Good looks but retro is not my style.

http://www.scootdawg.net/showthread....t=Cali+classic

Then while I was looking for a scoot for up in NJ I test rode one and decided to break out of my " normal rut" and go for something different. For my use it will be great , low to the ground and a certain "cool factor". I've been on big wheel scoots as of late so this will be different, flat footed landings.

Here she is in the color and dress I bought.

She comes home Tuesday.

Hey cookees this dealer owes you a "Bird Dog" on this one !

Very nice! I am not much into the retro scoots... But that one has more of a Honda cub retro style as opposed to an Italian retro feel... I kinda like that!

Enjoy it!

Yeah it kinda grew on me as I've never been retro. I like that I was able to get the feet a bit more foward on it.
But I think it's the "naked bars" that got to me !

Sweet little ride. (Looks good enough to go with a glass of milk) Sic Friatur Crustum Dulce....The way the Latin "Cookee" crumbles.

Weather.........
Not a fan of new bike and monsoon. I've never minded the rain but heavy rain and unfamiliar bike may not be the best choice.

Bummer !

I rode a Cali today on the lunch run... damm that thing is sweet.

The thing that really impressed me was the comfortable seat... great for us guys with boney-butts. And since the Havana is the same scoot from the neck down...it too has a great ride.

I like that scooter a lot. I have a similar retro but it has a covered handle bar and I wish I had got one like this one with the chrome handle bar. Mine is the one that has the diagonal chrome bar on the engine housing. I ride mine every day to go eat lunch (my breakfast) with my friends. My ideal would be an retro design, flat floor, 200cc aircooled engine possibly a bit more. some thing you could run 55 with out going wot and hit 65 for a short burst. A short wheel base and smallish wheels (12"s) gives quick handling and I like that, makes it fun to ride. john

Another attempt to get her home on Friday.

Like I said its a different scoot then I normaly go for. Yep the seat is soft and low and she'll have an easy life as a local beach cruiser. Odds of seeing a road posted faste than 50 mph will be rare.
