Zuma II VIN
Help please. I am trying to register my 2001 Yamaha Zuma II and to do that the inspector must find the VIN on the frame and on the engine. I find the frame VIN on the front support behind the removeable panel but cant find a VIN on the engine. Can someone tell me where that is located or is there a second VIN?

I no longer mess around with Zumas, so I cant go and physically look, and not sure were the motor number was located. If I recall correctly the motor number was not attached to the VIN number. I've purchased a few Zuma scooters as parts bikes with no paperwork and broke them down and never worried about selling a questionable motor. I finally shipped the last of my Zuma stock out to a new enthusiast, including 3 sets of cases and a complete motor. I know the info you seek is listed in the owners manual.

On Chinese scooters at least there is no VIN on the engine, just the model number for the engine. I just gave my motorcycles a good going over. They have engine model numbers but no VIN. My new Dongfang has a VIN plate on the plastic in front of the seat and another plate on the center stand bracket. The engine only has the 1P61QMK designation on it.
