How low can you go? (gas question)

Hi
I have a Baja SC150. It's a GY6, 150cc. I was wondering EXACTLY how big the fuel tank is. I know I could empty it, but that seems a little ridiculous. So, how much fuel is REALLY in a full fill-up? I'm asking so that I know about how far I can drive after it's on E, I suppose.

Any answers are appreciated, and nobody will be held responsible if I run out of gas

Fill it up, reset the trip meter, strap a 2 gallon gas can to the scooter and ride it till your gas tank is empty.
I've had mine out a few times, and I'd guess it's 2.3 - 2.8 gallons or so.

I remember reading somewhere or hearing something where you should never run out of gas on a motorcycle/scooter cause it can damage the engine?

Or is that just my wife saying in a polite way..."your ass is walking home."

I'd certainly change out my fuel filter, before I got it running again. But I keep a spare in my tool kit.

No damage will occur if you run out of gas, the sc150 should only have a 1.3 gallon tank
