Connecting headlights to ignition?

There's something wrong with my headlights and I would like to wire them to the ignition. Does anyone know of any youtube videos that explain this? I couldn't find any and I really don't want to mess anything up. Thanks.

You should be able to ground to any ground cable or directly to the engine or transmission, and connect the positive cable splicing the ignition. Shouldn't be too difficult.

I do have some starting issues occasionally with my 2009 gy6(150), so I usually start w/o headlights and let it warm up a couple minutes (giving it some throttle) and then turn them on before I start moving... So IDK if you want to wire them directly to the ignition; I suppose you don't have the same problem as I do.

depending on the bike very easy, connect the ground to any ground on the bike, the black wire that goes into the key is the switched 12v, tap into that, NOT black and white just black, however you should never do this, if you are blowing bulbs or have a dminlight its probably your regulator and its a cheap easy fix

Idk why they aren't working.. I need to pick up a multimeter this weekend. I hardly ever drive at night I just wanted them working in case. There are 4 wires in the plug so I should probably just change the regulatorbbecause I have no idea what I'm doing right lol? It's got a brand new battery in it and the headlights are the only thing that don't work.

If just the headlights aren't working, I'd check the stator wiring connector and make sure it is not loose
