BoostCrzy's 172cc Vento

Heres my setup:

172cc GY6 (61mm BBK)
A9 cam
24mm Carb (118main/aftermarket needle/choke delete)
New Racing CDI
Open air filter
free flow exhaust
115mm Variator
9.5g Dr.Pulley sliders
Yellow Tq spring
K&S Clutch

I bought the Scooter as a partially complete project from another rider. He Stretched it and lowered it as well as did a few of the upgrades...after going through the whole bike and re-doing most of the work(including a TON of electrical) I am happy to say this thing is AWESOME!

I am still dialing in the CVT but so far the top speed on flat level ground with no tail-wind is 72.6mph (GPS Verified) I expect to see a little more after a few more tweaks...but my real goal is to make this thing rocket from a stop...Im a drag racer at heart.....anyway....here she is!

Impressive. I run 12g sliders and a red springs and my bike can burn the tire. Try a heavier weight.

Thanks guys!....yea I have been holding back on the 30mm carb(I bit the bullet and ordered one to try)....im just wondering how much of a difference it will really make on my current setup......

heres a run with the red tq spring and a 1.5mm washer in the variator to get the belt in deep on the boss. I also noticed that the CVT is shifting before the clutch engages....I tried putting in lighter sliders and the red 2000rpm tq spring in back....but it seems it starts upshifting regardless....I am not sure what the clutch springs are(they are what came with the clutch) but I tried a set of 1500 rpm springs....still the same...I cant imagine going down to 1000rpm springs(have those on the way too)....but im also down to 9g sliders so going lighter is probably going to wreck my top end....

Went ahead and installed the 30mm OKO carb...throttle response is staggering compared to the CV carb.....and there seems to be a little more power across the board....nothing outrageous....but better none the less...times in my 400ft test have dropped 2 tenths....which is pretty decent in my book. The only issue I have is Idle...this thing doesnt want to live under 2300-2800rpm but is smooth everywhere else....It acts as if theres a huge vacuum leak....yet I made sure it all sealed up good. This may just be the nature of the Flat-slide and made worse by the large 30mm size....anyone have a 30mm idling low and clean?....anyway...im pleased with the gains thus far...and may just learn to live with the high idle....heres a vid.

I wanted the throttle response known from going with a flat slide....it just gives the scooter a completely different feel(response wise)

I went ahead and put this nitrous kit together on the scoot. using a .018 jet spraying dry into the inlet....initial tests are promising!...very noticeable power at the push of a button is a huge plus!

....I hope to get into the 3's (50m sprint) with this setup......right now in the mid 4's on motor. There doesnt seem to be too much info floating around concerning GY6's and nitrous ....so Im just playing it by ear here.

First test passes have all been in the low 4's with a best of 4.1 seconds....a little tweaking and I hope to see a 3 second pass!

Heres a good run without nitrous for comparison...
