Taotao arrived damaged help

Hi guys, I got my scooter in the mail last night from familygokarts.com. It is this model, http://www.familygokarts.com/shop?ca...ta-cy50b-black

The box did not have a lot of damage, a couple of normal wear and tears, but after I opened it up and got it off the rack, i noticed the "taotao" emblem on the side had shattered off. When I went to put on the front tire, I saw that everything on the front end was bent. I could literally not even get the front tire on. Everything looked bent to the side. I took photos of everything and I'm submitting a claim with the company, though from what I've read from other customers, I might be out of luck.

I have it set up in my apartment now, with all the pressure off the front of the bike. Is there anything I can do to try to fix the bent front end my self?

thanks,

Ken

Hi
Welcome aboard
Pleased to meet you
So sorry to see this, I would wait and see about your warranty claim first
From your photos it appears to me that you will need a new fork at least, if not an entire front end
I would not try to bend or fix it as that will void your warranty and the parts damaged are better replaced with new then trying to repair the old ones
You have my best wishes that your problems are rectified by the company quickly and easily
Take care and ride safely
Yours Hank

I hope they treat you with good customer service.
It looks to be a no brainer, they did not inspect it before shipping it to you, since the crate/box is not greatly damaged, IMHO anyway.

I would hope that your shipment was insured. If so, that should cover the damage. The company should at least be able to replace the damaged parts for you.
