Just got this scoot. Runs okay. Would like to get some ongoing continuous power to it going uphill and better mileage and handling. Any suggestions?

Also would this scoot make it on a 1000 Mile Road Trip?

If the route is relatively flat, probably. If it involves a lot of time in the mountains, probably not.

What would I need to do to insure it would?

If I did the math correctly .. at an average of 40 mph it would take 25 hours continuous to go 1000 miles. So that seems like not all that much but on a 10 year old scooter? A scooter is a scooter not a touring bike. But if I did try this I'd be checking the tires, fuel and vacuum hoses, air filter assembly, have a few extra ignition parts and tools. Probably a spare drive belt, a good cell phone!, extra oil, rain gear, light bulbs? ... mutlmeter for sure. If you do this be sure to keep us posted. google scooter road trips and you'll get a lot of information... generally, it's not recommended.

I would on average do about 3 hours a day maybe four generally what I usually ride and a day anyways so I think if I carry the extra parts and do everything I normally do I might be okay
