I'm on the opposite side. I finally retired in 2018 from a part time job. I was using the scooters and motorcycles to ride the 14 mile round trip, weather permitting. Now I only ride for fun. My wife isn't capable of climbing on so I only ride alone. I do about a half dozen events a year and a couple of Bike Nights. Oh, and Americade in Lake George adding about 600 miles or so in the four days including the trip there and back.
Once upon a time I was doing fifty miles a day to a real job on my motorcycle racking up about 8k or so a year. That job ended with a plant closure and some jobs were motorcycle free after that. I sat down and figured out my overall mileage from 1973, when I got my street bike license, until now. It is about 250k and slowly creeping up.
I had been using the CF Moto for a few years exclusively but a life changing event had me buy a pair of motorcycles. After trying the Vespa 310 I know another scooter won't ever happen. If it's anything it will be another bike at most. The 450 CF Moto's showed me I could live quite happily with a 450cc bike. The 450CL-C was pretty solid and the 450SS, while really fun is for younger leg joints than mine.
And I changed my signature to reflect the reality of my two wheeled fleet.
