Charging issue lexmoto echonplus 50cc 2020
We have recently started having issues with the bike; it's not charging, and the headlight bulbs are blowing. The bike runs fine and will start on the button.
The more people I speak to, the more conflicting responses I get when trying to figure out how to test the stator on it. The stator we have is direct from CMPO for this bike. My question is, if I am getting 25 VAC across the pink and yellow wire, does that confirm that the stator is working as it should? Or should there be no voltage across them? Should each of the wires get VAC to ground? If the stator is testing correctly with 25 VAC across yellow and pink, then what else could be the issue? It has had a new R/R supplied again from CMPO. We are getting no increase in voltage at the battery when the bike is revved. I really hope you can help; we are at a loose end with this now. Thank you. |

Blowing bulbs is a sure sign of a bad voltage regulator. Start the scooter and check the voltage across the battery terminals. If it's more than 14 volts it's the regulator.
