There are washers made of a nylon like material, for this purpose, and available at autoparts stores. You'll find them in packages of 5 or 10, hanging somewhere near the drain plug area. I use one under the oil temperature sending unit, that screws into the drain hole on the left side of my scooter's engine (157QMJ). If you can find one small enough to fit the tranny drain, it would work great.
If not, I'd go with Teflon tape as suggested above. |

Thanks rks. I haven't looked for the Nylon washers yet, but I like the idea for simplicity.
This weekend I did an oil change and gear oil as well. I used the brush-on, Teflon, thread sealant. It has been 2 days now and the plug is dry. |
